Our next generation design is here. With testing of the prototype completed in early 2009, production of the blade “fly” has commenced starting in June 2009. This ski has been designed with a lower overall volume compared with the “Razor” making it more suitable for females, juniors and any paddler under 75-80kg. Why Make A “Low Volume” Ski?
All water craft is designed to carry a certain ‘optimal’ weight. Why should a female or junior paddler weighing in at 55 or 60kg have to paddle the exact same ski as an open male paddler weighing over 90 or even 100kg? The Blade “Fly” is sleek and super-fast and, like the Blade “Razor”, is built to perform at its best in the surf and open ocean conditions Ask any board paddler or ironperson and they will tell you they have to list their body weight on a board order form. A paddlers weight is hugely important on how the ski reacts and performs especially in surf and in rough conditions. Isn’t it about time you got a ski that was actually right for you!
